Applications
High‑Temperature Silicone Hook‑up Wire Applications
UL 3135 is a UL‑recognized silicone‑insulated hook‑up / lead wire, rated up to 200 °C and 600 V AC (nominal), with stranded (or solid) copper conductors and silicone rubber insulation
Recommended Applications
-
Internal wiring of household appliances and high‑temperature equipment — e.g. ovens, microwave ovens, electric heaters, cooking appliances operating under high heat.
-
Lighting equipment wiring — lighting fixtures, lamps, LED / high‑temperature lighting modules requiring heat‑resistant insulation.
-
Internal wiring of industrial and electronic devices — control cabinets, switchgear, electronic modules, industrial machinery, devices operating in high‑temperature, high‑stress, or chemically aggressive environments.
-
Wiring in equipment exposed to oil / chemical / high‑temperature / harsh environments — silicone insulation gives resistance to oils, acids/alkalis, high temperature, moisture, aging, making UL 3135 suitable for such demanding internal wiring.
-
Flexible routing inside devices or machinery — thanks to silicone’s softness and flexibility and high temperature rating, UL 3135 is good for compact spaces, tight bends, vibration‑prone or heat‑producing equipment.
Limitations
-
Intended for internal wiring / fixed wiring inside appliances, equipment, or machinery — not designed for outdoor, buried, or direct exposure to environment.
-
As with other hook‑up wires, not ideally suited for applications requiring heavy external mechanical stress, drag‑chain flexing, or continuous high‑flex dynamic movement.
-
For safe use at maximum performance, installation should consider ventilation or airflow (especially at elevated temperatures) to avoid degradation of silicone properties under prolonged heat.
